Silk

Silk is a luxurious natural fiber known for its softness, breathability, and elegant sheen. It is lightweight yet strong, offering a smooth feel against the skin while regulating temperature to keep you comfortable in both warm and cool climates. Due to its delicate nature, silk requires proper care to maintain its beauty and longevity.

With the right care, your silk styles will retain both their colour and softness, ensuring they last longer. Avoid spraying perfume or deodorant directly on silk, as this can cause stains. Likewise, silk should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods, as this may cause the colour to fade.

How to take care

When your silk garments need washing, we recommend using a wool, silk, or hand wash program at a maximum of 30°C. This prevents the water from becoming too hot and the fabric from being twisted too much. If handwashing, use cold water and always choose a detergent specifically designed for silk to maintain its texture and colour. Do not spot-clean small stains with water, as this can leave marks—always wash the entire garment instead. We also recommend using a laundry bag or turning the silk garment inside out, as silk is delicate when wet. This helps preserve its shine and suppleness. Silk should be handled with care and must not be soaked or wrung out.

After washing, you can either hang your silk garment to air dry or roll it in a dry towel to absorb excess moisture. Ironing should be done at a low temperature to prevent damage. As with all delicate fabrics, silk should always be ironed inside out. Do not moisten silk with water before ironing, as this can cause stains - iron it while it is still slightly damp instead.

We always recommend that you follow the washing instructions on the care label for further information.
