Cashmere

At Rosemunde, we use premium cashmere, a luxurious and soft natural fiber known for its exceptional warmth, softness, and durability, ensuring that each piece offers unparalleled comfort and elegance, season after season. Its unique ability to regulate body temperature keeps you warm in the colder months while remaining breathable in warmer weather, making it the perfect choice for year-round wear. With its delicate texture and natural breathability, cashmere provides both cozy everyday wear and elegant layering. With proper care, our cashmere garments will remain timeless, maintaining their beauty and softness for years to come.

By following the care and washing instructions, your cashmere garment can retain its soft surface and last longer. While it’s impossible to prevent cashmere from fluffing, as knitwear naturally sheds filaments, small wool fluffs or pilling may occur. This is particularly noticeable under the arms, on the underside of the sleeves, and on the elbows, where yarn rubs against yarn. You can remove these fluffs by hand or use the small comb included with your purchase. This will help reduce pilling over time. As a general rule, use the comb twice before your cashmere knit has finished shedding its filaments.

How to take care

Cashmere also has a unique self-cleaning function, meaning it doesn't need to be washed as frequently. Simply hang it outside or take it to the bathroom while you shower. When you do need to wash your cashmere, we recommend using a wool or hand wash program at a maximum of 30°C to avoid overheating the water or over-twisting the fabric. If handwashing, use cold water. Always place your garment in a laundry bag. Avoid soaking or twisting your cashmere. After washing, you can iron your cashmere garment in its dry condition to help maintain its neatness for longer.

Avoid drying your cashmere garment on a hanger. Instead, lay it flat on a towel and allow it to dry at room temperature. We also recommend storing your cashmere folded, rather than hanging it, as this can damage the garment’s structure.

Avoid hanging your cashmere style to dry on a hanger - instead lay it smoothly on a towel and let it dry at room temperature. We also recommend that your cashmere style is kept folded and not on a hanger as this can damage the structure of the style.

We always recommend that you follow the washing instructions on the care label for further information.
